Please Touch Museum, which recently moved to historic Memorial Hall in Fairmount Park, Philadelphia, is a wealth of kid-friendly, hands-on exhibits.

Alaska volcano observatory - Alert level raised for Alaska volcano

Increased earthquake activity has led scientists to the alert level for Mount Redoubt volcano Alaska's.
Geologists from the Alaska Volcano Observatory said Sunday that the seismic activity has increased in the past two days. On Sunday morning, 40 to 50 earthquakes recorded every hour.
Scientists said conditions change rapidly in May and led to an eruption in the days to several weeks at the volcano about 100 miles southwest of Anchorage.
A steam plume rises to about 1000 meters above the peak was observed on Saturday.
The observatory warned in late January that an eruption could happen at any moment.
Alaska Volcano Observatory reports Mount Redoubt eruption began at 22h38 AKDT 3/22/09.Aviation color red. The ash cloud was estimated at 20,000 feet.
